We are deeply grateful to the super generous family for the gift of a 5-day stay in their beautiful holiday home and to the awesome people at TimeOut for making it all possible. It was a truly heavenly escape — one we hadn’t even dared to dream of experiencing. In that beautiful fresh environment with privacy and stunning bay views, my husband and I were able to forget about cancer, finances and future concerns, and simply enjoy the moment. Throughout our stay, we experienced childlike excitement, deep relaxation, and such a humbling and joyful sense of how blessed we were! This kind of kindness means so much more than words can express. We want to encourage other holiday home owners to consider donating a stay for someone facing terminal illness. And we pray that those special people who do are greatly blessed in return!
