For us, this is a no-brainer. Our cottage is empty for weeks on end over the winter and it’s actually good to have someone staying in there. We were able to provide something very valuable that cost us very little. From our point of view, it was no different to having paying guests. We treated them the same and provided all the same goodies on arrival etc. The process with both Time Out and the guests went smoothly from beginning to end. Sometimes the TimeOut process provides a holiday the guests could not otherwise afford. However, more importantly, I think it makes people feel supported and cared about when strangers open their hearts and homes to them.
