My husband and I have just returned from five days in the beautiful Coromandel at Cooks Beach. My husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer. What a journey we have both been on with the chemo and the after effects of all the medication and particularly coming to terms with a terminal diagnosis. It feels like a cloud has hung over us for the past three years and the oncologist has just told us that the treatment is no longer working so it’s just a matter of time now. Hospice has been extremely helpful and TimeOut Charity giving us the opportunity to have this memorable holiday has been wonderful and has created new memories for both of us to cherish and help us through the remainder of time we have together.
