We had a lovely time at our accommodation, overlooking the Puhoi River. We fell in love with Pawpaw the dog, who would come and greet us every time we got home. Not only did the owners make their space available, but they put so much thought into the stay, even providing us with the ingredients for pizza dough, as well as firewood, for the pizza oven. Living with cancer comes with many extra costs - financially, physically and emotionally. Having this time away to reconnect, recharge and enjoy nature was rejuvenating for us both.
