We’re excited to introduce Dunga Run – a brand-new fundraising adventure created to help secure the future of TimeOut while bringing together people who love cars, road trips and making a difference.

Dunga Run is a unique seven-day journey around the North Island, where teams take on an unforgettable 2,600-kilometre adventure in $2,000 cars. Following scenic back roads rather than highways, participants will tackle fun challenges, build lasting friendships and raise vital funds to help TimeOut continue providing donated holiday breaks for families living with stage 4 cancer or an incurable illness.

Unlike a race, Dunga Run is all about the journey. It’s about embracing adventure, celebrating teamwork and proving that you don’t need an expensive vehicle to create an incredible experience. Every team that takes part will be helping more families enjoy precious time together when it matters most.

As grants and funding becomes increasingly difficult to secure, Dunga Run represents an exciting new chapter for TimeOut. By creating our own annual fundraising event, we’re building a more sustainable future for the charity and ensuring we can continue supporting families across Aotearoa for years to come.
